Rudy and Lisa Gamez, the parents of one of our riders, Morgan Gamez, and her twin sister, Loren Gamez, contacted us with exciting news! “Loren will graduate in the top 10% of her class (#6 of 450) with gold cords for NHS & NAHS and plans to pursue Graphic Design at St. Edward’s Univ. in Aus-tin. Morgan will attend Crossroads, the extended program for students with disabilities ages 18-21. The Community Based Vocational Instruction (CBVI) program is an extension of the High School and Vocational program, but is not located at the High School, so Jourdan will miss her sisters a lot. She visited with Loren at lunch, NAHS & clay club and she participated in the PE Leadership class with Morgan’s peers. She plans to continue it next year as a Sophomore, even without Morgan 🙂 This year is a major transition for our family, but we haven’t had to go through it alone. Thank you for be-ing a part of our children’s lives, especially Morgan’s. It is often said that “It takes a village to raise a child” but we know it takes an even bigger support system for one with special needs. We are truly grateful for all of your friendship, dedication, time and efforts for our family and Morgan 🙂 Y’all rock & she rolls :)” Thanks so much for sharing Morgan’s progress with us at SLC! We wish her and her sister the best of luck!!
