The Big Give is fast approaching as a 24-hour fundraising campaign for local non-profit organizations.

Begins at 6 PM on Wednesday, September 17

Ends at 6 PM on Thursday, September 18

This year, two long-time therapy horses within the herd family are retired and not able to provide therapy lessons, however the cost to care for them continues. With your Big Give donation to help cover the cost of care you can keep these long-time partners with the herd and provide the quality of care they deserve after their long therapy careers.

You can help us reach our goal of $10,000.

What is the Big Give?

During the Big Give 24-hour period, there are many opportunities to have your donation matched dollar for dollar!  Below is a list of matches (unrestricted highlighted in light green) that occur only when you donate during the designated window of time.

The best match is from the Najim Family Foundation, from whom the Saddle Light Center has received generous grants.  Please note in the chart below that Saddle Light Center donations are eligible for the Najim match up to $200 per donation during a 5-minute window (highlighted in dark green).

The Saddle Light Center Board of Directors has also created a matching fund of $2,000. This match is up to $50 per donation and is available from 6PM September 17 through 6PM September 18 while funds last.

How to donate to the Saddle Light Center with the Big Give:

• Go to www.thebiggivesa.org. Click the Blue Donate button.
• In the “Search” bar, type Saddle Light Center.  Our logo will appear in a box – click the blue “Donate” button.
• A box will pop up that allows you to choose a set amount or customize your donation (minimum $10).
• Click “Checkout.”  The amount you chose/wrote in will appear in the next page.  You can add your name, if you wish the Saddle Light Center to know of your contribution – this is optional. 
• Check any appropriate boxes (optional) – new donor, recurring gift or a gift in memory/honor.
• Click the blue “Next” button. This will take you to the payment page, where you complete information on your payment type, name, address, etc. 
  • Please note that there is a fee – you can either add this to your donation (example: $10 donation will be $10.70 charged to your card/account with $10 to SLC), or you can deduct the fee from your donation ($10 donation would be $9.30 to the SLC).  Either way, we are most grateful for your contribution!
• Submit your payment.

TIP:  To optimize the matching gifts, it is best to prepare your donation form ahead of the matching window time all the way up to the “Submit” button at the end, hover your “quick click” finger” over the mouse and “Submit” right as your computer clock clicks over to the start time of the match.  There will be many other donors trying to leverage the match and these matches are limited to a range of $5,000 to $20,000 (see chart above), so the matches can go fast, if you aren’t fast with your “click” finger!
